What am I gonna do with these dogs?

So I spend all this time and money in buying this screen to tie down to the lower part of my pool fence to prevent my dogs from going into the pool area. It makes our pool area look ugly but it was worth the piece of mind that the dogs can't get into the pool area, accidentally fall in and drown. So now my dogs have found a new way in...they climb, jump over the screen and squeeze through the bars. I am so scared we might find them dead in our pool one day. I know dogs can swim but only for so long. I don't know what to do anymore, I can't win. And even if I yell at them they don't care. To top it off Marlie gets on our rock slide where she can see in at least 4 neighbors back yards and looks around and barks at people. Who knows maybe she will start jumping fences. So for those of you who live around me....sorry about my noisy dog!

Guess who I saw at Olive Garden!

So I went to Olive Garden tonight with some of my family. Hayden and I were going to the bathroom before leaving and my mom came in saying that a guy out there eating looks and sounds like Ice T. She mainly knows him from Law and Order SVU which my family loves and watches. So I was thinking it was going to be some guy who just looks like him and I see it really looks like him and the women next time him really looks like his wife. As I am starring at him, the waiter walking by says guitly "Yes, that's Ice T." So I look at my family waiting to hear if it is or not and I say...."The waiter says it is." And my mom walked up to him and said I have to say hi and tell you we all watch and love the show and then Aaron shook his hand too. So I thought it was pretty cool. He seemed nice but he was eating so we didn't bother him more then a few seconds. I should have got a picture of him on my camera phone but didn't want to be rude.

Backyard is done!

It feels great to have it done and not have all that dirt everywhere. I know we will really use and enjoy this backyard.

Swimming time is here!

It seems safe to say we can officially swim now for the rest of the summer. Our pool has been too cold to swim but today we got in, no problems, and we didn't even have our solar rings in. We took the rings out due to our backyard being worked on so the pool heated up on its own. Hayden and I swam for awhile and it was so nice to cool off. Even though I hate this heat, I love we get to swim!

Hayden my handy man

As soon as Hayden is older he is going to be my handy man. He loves to help out so much. He is into tools, pretending to fix things and yard work. I just hope he is this motivated when he is older. He has been begging me all week to be able to go in our back yard and help the landscapers. One time they told him he could and he was so excited. In these pictures he is helping them plant the trees and plants (so he thinks.)

Back yard is getting there....

So far the backyard has all the trees and plants in. We did palms in the pool area and 2 orange and a peach trees in the other part of the yard where the grass will be. All the water system is in. And the curbing was done today. Can't wait for the rock and grass (which will be done next week) so there will be no more dirt!

Mother's Day Pictures

My sister Sara had the idea to get all the grandkids together to have their pictures taken for my mom's Mothers day gift. It was really hard to get 7 kids under 4 to work with us. But we got some cute ones. We took them at the Pecans, where a lady from my sister-in-laws ward came and took the pictures. I wanted to post these for about a week now but had to wait until after Mother's day (after my mom saw them.) Hayden's pictures turned out so cute too! He is so fun to take pictures of and he is such a sport to put up with all the pictures I take of him. I know its no fun for him but he will appreciate them someday!

More Homework

I went to my Photoshop class today and was assigned homework. She had little gifts for everyone and then we were told our assignment was to duplicate what we got. So I came home to Aaron taking Hayden Mother's day shopping so I decided to get on it while I had free time. Here is what I did. I am so proud of myself!

Kleenex Box

It's getting Hot! But the Pools Not!

We want to swim so bad but the pool is still so cold. We went and bought these pool solar rings. The are like a pool cover, but they are rings that absorb the sun rays and warm up our pool. So I put them on today. I am hoping to see a difference soon so we can swim. Right now I can just get my feet in.

New backyard!

Our backyard is finally getting worked on. Once we moved in about a year ago we had to landscape our front yard 1st. And then once we decided to get a pool then we wanted to landscape after the pool was done. So now its finally being worked on and I am so excited. I am so sick of dirt and weeds everywhere. Hayden and my dogs are always so dirty when they go outside. So the landscapers start very soon, we had to 1st get out cement work done. We got a slab pored for our camper and a side walk done from our back patio to our gate. And then today the garden box was finished. So they landscapers can begin!

Chocolate ice cream!

Hayden will tell you he likes ice cream but he doesn't really eat it. We will offer him some (Aaron and I love ice cream) but he hardly ever eats any. Well the other night he was insisting we go out for ice cream. So since he never asks we went. He picked out chocolate, I thought he would pick out a kid flavor, like something fruity but he wanted chocolate and he ate is all gone. He had such a funny face after eating it all we took pictures from Aaron's camera phone.

Mom...I have a suprise for you!

Daily Hayden is making something for me. I have to always close my eyes and then he shows me what he did. He usually creates something from his blocks and he usually makes me close my eyes before seeing what he brought home from preschool. Well today's surprise was interesting....he made a circle on our family room floor of our shoes, a few cups and some of his toys. I thought it was pretty creative to make a circle out of these things and to think about that. It just looked so funny, especially when he laid in the circle, so I had to take pictures of it.

Our adoption fundraiser garage sale

We had a fundraiser garage sale yesterday. Since March I have told family, friends, neighbors, people in our church and even clients of ours that we would have a fundraiser garage sale for our adoption and if anyone had things to donate they could give them to us instead of throwing it away or donating it to someone else. We got a big response. I told them we wouldn't have the sale until like late April or early May so we gave them lots of time to get things to us. So yesterday was our sale. We had a 8 year old neighbor girl who also goes to our church offer to sell Snowcone for us. She was so sweet to do that for us, she alone helped raise $60. And then another women in my church made pans of homemade cinnamon rolls and they sold within the 1st hour. We had lots of people come shop and people bought a lot. We had the sale hours longer then planned and still didn't sell it all. So we will have the sale one more time next weekend. And we also had people telling us they found more for us to donate. So we will have some new stuff too. So the grand total.......so far we have raised $1500 from the garage sale. And we aren't done. I feel so blessed to have such great people in my life who have helped us so much.
