It's a boy

June 25th Libby and Tike's puppy was born and It's a boy! He is black with a few brown spots on his face and he has white on his upper neck. He was born the day Michael Jackson died so everyone keeps telling me to name it after him. Ha Ha!



















This puppy was a surprise. Libby isn't even one yet, she is still a puppy. After wondering for about 3 weeks I went to the vet last Friday to confirm Libby was pregnant. We were worried she wouldn't be able to deliver it. She was 3lbs before getting pregnant and the father (our 11 year old male Chihuahua Tike) is 7lbs. They confirmed in a Xray she was pregnant and only had one puppy. So Thursday June 25th she went in for a planned C-Section and they called to say it was a boy. We were hoping for a girl because I considered keeping it and I don't want another male dog ever again! They pee in the house too much. But Libby and her puppy came home that evening and he is so small and cute. Libby is a great mom. When a dog has a C-section you never know if they will care for the puppy like they should because they don't really know they had a puppy. But she is always by his side and taking great care of him.
