Dan the Man!

Ever since I heard Dan Majerle was coming back to the Suns as an assistant coach, I have been dying to go to a Suns game. Basketball is one of the few sports I enjoy watching and I have been a Suns fan since I was a teen. Mainly because I loved "Thunder" Dan Majerle. But since Dan Majerle left and retired a few years back I haven't been that into it. So Aaron and I just went to a game. We had fun and there was never a dull moment. I had a great view of Dan sitting with the players. Of course I would like to be closer but ooh well. Most people that didn't know me when I was teen don't know how much I loved Dan Majerle and how I stole his garbage from his house when I was 18. Long funny story! But I am still defending myself by saying I am not a stalker, just a fan and you would do that same thing if you were at a famous persons house that you loved. Ha Ha! Hey...it was just sitting in bags by the street...I was curious. But anyway...back to the game. Here are some highlights......

National Anthem

Muhammad Ali was there

Suns Dancers and Gorilla

Mom, I want to buy you flowers because I love you so much.

A few weeks ago Hayden saw flowers on a commercial and he said "Mom, I want to buy you flowers because I love you so much." I thought that was so sweet I was telling some people in my family. The other day we got something delivered to our front door. It was a box of roses from Hayden. Aaron thought it would be cute to order me flowers from Hayden. What sweet boys!!! Hayden gave them to me so proudly, even though he was a little confused because he didn't remember ordering them. They have been sitting on my counter and Hayden even told me a few days after getting them that he really liked the flowers he bought me. I know he is probably trying to think when and how he ordered these for me. I thought it was so cute!

I love a good quote

I love a good quote or saying. I grew up always hearing the most funny and creative ones coming from my Grandpa Morris. I think I really like ones that sum up how I feel is so many words. When I was a teen I got this old book from my great grandma and it was full of quotes. I would read through it often and highlight my favorites. I really should journal all my favorites somewhere. In that book my great grandma had my favorite was... "Patience....in time the grass becomes milk." I recently found this quote and really liked it. I put it on something cute on photoshop.

What a great thing to work towards!

Here is a few more of my favorites that I also did something with on photoshop.

Yep...that's sums it all up!!!

We 1st went to my parent's ward's trunk'er treat which was also held at our church building down the street. My parents came and picked up Hayden in the mule and we just met them down there in our car. Our pumpkin

Then we went to our neighborhood to trick or treat. We went up and down maybe 2 1/2 streets. We saw lots of ward members and friends. It was fun to see everyone along the way and all the cool costumes. Emmie rode in the wagon the whole time and Hayden loved running up to each door.

The Lawes house, one of the popular hang outs. They make hamburgers and hotdogs for everyone, they are so nice!

Spiderman and Indiana Jones. We ran into Hayden's friend from church (Keagan.)

Halloween Day

Halloween day we did our pumpkin. I found this kit that I thought would be great for my kids since they can't really carve a pumpkin yet. It reminds me a lot of Light Bright. They are color plastic pegs and when the pumpkin is lit inside the pegs light up. The kids loved making it, it was real easy, not as messy and it looked really cool when done.

Aaron cleaning out the pumpkin

I baked the seeds after cleaning them

All done!

Emmie loves it!

Emmie really wanted to help. She is hammering in the pegs to make sure the are really in there.

We went into the dark bathroom to see what it looked like lit up.

Hayden wanted to dress like a Rock Star for the day.

Blue hair and orange tongue

Grandma came by with the mule and gave the kids rides.

After the ride it was nap time and Emmie was ready for a nap. I wanted them to get good naps before their long night of trick or treating!
