Wanting to adopt again!

For some reason after we got Paxton I got asked a lot if we planned on adopting again. I really didn't know. Once I realized having kids would be hard I wanted at least 3 and since having Paxton our family felt so much more complete that I didn't know if I would want to keep adopting. I would love more kids but the adoption process can be so hard in so many different ways. But recently I have a strong desire to adopt again. Maybe because we have been going to the temple every week and its one of the things I have prayed about. I feel so baby hungry and Paxton is still a baby. I hope this doesn't sound bad like I am ready for a new baby because he is growing up because it isn't that way at all. I love love love the stage Paxton is in right now. He is so fun! Paxton just makes me smile ear to ear everyday and he is such a sweet boy. Every day I thank Heavenly Father for my children, I feel so blessed. I don't know how I got so lucky to be their mom.

So now I am thinking if we are going to adopt again, how are we going to do this. Each one of our kids we got in a different way. It would be nice to get another child like we did Paxton. It was the easiest way but I don't know if we will get so lucky. I will continue to pray and wait for Heavenly Father to guide me to our next child.

Looking back on the day I became a mom.

Hayden was born December 9th 2004. I got to be in the room when he was born. I was in love the second I saw him. Even though he cried for several hours straight. :) We were so excited to get Hayden because we were wanting to be parents so bad. We were blessed to be chosen by his birthmom and that she also let us be involved with some of her Dr appointments and be in the room while he was born. We spent 3 days with him in the hospital before he came home with us and all I wanted to do is care for him, hold him and kiss him.

This is me holding him for the 1st time.
I walked him to the nursery and Aaron got to meet him in the hall

The day we met Emmie (Emmie 15 months old). We heard about her when she just turned a year. We couldn't meet her until a few months later and she finally moved into our home when she was 18 months old. We got her through the state so it was a long process. Hayden was so excited to have a sister and we were so happy to have another child. When we got her she had a lot of little issues for a 1 year old but she has grown so much since coming into our home.

With Paxton we wanted to adopt again but weren't looking yet. We heard about him and were asked if we were interested. Once we heard some information I had a wonderful feeling this was our child. At the time I knew nothing and didn't know if it was a boy or girl. But I told Aaron I just knew it was a boy. His birthmom's Dr was trying to find the best family for him and he suggest us. I prayed he would because I felt so good about getting this baby. Once we heard more info and that it was a boy everything fell into place and he was born a few months later. Paxton was a planned c-section so we were told to be at the hospital by 9:00am. We were and the Dr came out to tell us everything was good and then we got to go back and meet him. He was precious and I was in love.

The day Paxton was born 11/5/09. Our 1st time seeing him
Our 1st time holding him

Looking back there was some hard times adopting but it was so worth it and I have 3 of the best kids because of it. I just pray Heavenly Father lets us do it at least one more time.

Part Crab.....Part Bird

Sometimes the funniest pictures I take are the ones that are when I don't have my camera and I have to use my cell phone to take the picture. I forgot I had this picture on my cell phone. A month or so ago we went camping and Hayden found a crawdad leg and a big feather from some bird. He walked around for sometime with his arms tucked into his shirt holding these things like they were his new arms saying he was part bird and part crab. He looked so funny!

Where have all the bloggers gone???

I have been blogging for a few years now. When I started everyone was doing it and I hesitated to start. I thought what do I have to write about. And soon it became a great way to keep a journal. I love doing it because I do it for my kids. I know one day my kids will have a copy of all this and cherish all the little memories. I go back now on mine and read what I wrote a year or 2 ago and think "Wow, I forgot we did that." Time goes by so fast and blogging just takes a few minutes out of my day. It breaks my heart to see most of my fellow bloggers just leave their blogs and not post anything anymore. And even though I don't care if people read my blog or not (because it's for our family journal) I never get comments anymore. I am pretty sure my own family doesn't even read it even though I have told them many times we have one. :( Where have all the bloggers gone???

Firehouse Subs

The other night we went to Firehouse subs for dinner. My kids love the food, the Cherry limeade and the free firefighter hat. They all looked so cute eating their dinner and wearing their hats I had to take some pictures.

Paxton wanted my food I let him have my pickle, he would just suck on it and gum it

my other pickle monster
Emmie is all cheesy!

Fall Soccer 2010

Hayden is playing his 4th season of Soccer and Emmie is playing for the 1st time. We are playing again with our neighborhood league which we love. We just started the practices and the 1st game won't start until October. Aaron is coaching Hayden's team again. Before the practice it hit me Emmie didn't have shin guards or cleats even though the cleats are optional. I told Aaron after practice we should go to the store and get her at least shin guards. As Hayden was trying to put his on we realize Emmie should wear Hayden's because they are closer to her size and Hayden could use bigger ones. So Emmie got Hayden's hand me down soccer cleats and Shin guards, but they are in good condition so it all worked out. And Hayden got new stuff that runs a little big but will last him longer. At first he didn't want to part with his old stuff and let Emmie use it.I guess he grown close to his soccer stuff.

Here is some pictures from the practices

Emmie's 1st day in dance

Since Emmie is 3 we thought some activities would help open her up more. We enrolled her in dance. A women in my neighborhood (also in my ward) teaches it in her home. So it close and cheap and we thought it would be fun for Emmie to do. She was excited to go to her own class as she has been watching Hayden get to do all the activities in the family. She will be learning tap, ballet and some tumbling. I stayed for a minute to watch her in class today and she just loved her tap shoes. Tomorrow, she starts soccer. She is super excited about that too. I hope this isn't all too much for her and she goes for it and has a blast!

When Emmie got home the kids and I were out back playing and she decided to show me some of the things she learned.

Less then 3 weeks....

Soon to be my view from my hotel room The end of September Aaron and I are going to Maui for 10 days 9 nights for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We are super excited! I love how we are on the beach and got such a nice hotel. We have lots planned while we are there but I also look forward to some relaxing, laying on the beach days. We will really miss our kids but my aunt is staying with them and I know they will be fine. Thank goodness for Skype so we can see our kids each day and show them where we are and tell them all about what we get to do.

I keep looking online at our hotels site. Here is some pictures that get me even more excited. I can't wait to relax here.
And eat our free breakfast every morning here
Really looking forward to our couples massage

And spending some time in the pool right next to the beach and ocean

Seekie Boo!

Emmie has her own language sometimes. One things I love that she says is "Seekie Boo" instead of Peek a boo. But when she does it to Paxton he doesn't care either way he just laughs and laughs.
