Carlsbad Inn

We just spent a week in Carlsbad and we had a fun filled week. Our hotel was a nice, fun and relaxing place to stay. I loved how we had a kitchen and our own room from the kids. Plus the beach was right behind our hotel which made it so nice.

When we first got to our room we saw this cute doggie towels in our bathroom, the kids loved it.

The kids loved playing on the back patio. They were finding lots of snails and bugs that they kept playing with.








Hayden wanted to take these snails home so bad but we convinced him to keep them in California where its not so hot.

Our hotel offered free rentals so we got a bike and jogging stroller and rode around our hotel and beach while Hayden skate boarded along.

Emmie's Dance Recital

Emmie's dance class ended this week for the summer and to end it all she had a recital. She did 2 different dances. She did very good and I am so proud of her when she really gets into each dance and tries so hard. She can be very shy so I am so proud of her that she performs in front of so many people. Several family members came to watch her recital and she was so excited to have family come see her. It made her day!

My Mother's day weekend

Friday the kids came home with gifts they made at school. Hayden brought home this hand print, picture of him and poem all put together to either scrapbook or frame. It was so cute and I love the picture his teacher took of him. It turned out good.

Emmie brought home a recipe holder with her picture on it.

Saturday the Young Women in our ward was doing a baby sitting night at the church to raise money for girls camp and they encouraged men to take their wives out for Mother's day. So we took our kids to the church Saturday evening and Aaron and I went to a movie and dinner. It was so nice!

After church the kids gave me a few more gifts. They got me some needed accessories for my ipod touch and a travel pillow for the car. We are going to California soon and they know I like to sleep in the car so the travel pillow and ipod stuff with come in handy.

Emmie's end of school year pictures

At Emmie's preschool they took some end of year pictures. Normally I don't order these but when I saw the sample I liked how Emmie looked. She was actually smiling and her hair and clothes weren't a mess from playing at school. I wasn't in love with the background but I thought it was ok. We just bought the cd of pictures. I was shocked when I got the cd that there was 65 pictures on the cd. All of the same shot of Emmie but different sizes, borders, some in black and white and so on. Here is a few of my favorites.

Blessed to be a Mom

With Mother's day approaching I started to count my blessings and really think how lucky I am to be a mom. A lot of things had to fall perfectly into place for me to be a mom to my 3 kids. I am so grateful for my kids birthmom's. Because of them I am a mom and my life was forever changed. No other event will ever emcompass all I have gone through to become a mom of these 3 beautiful kids. A day doesn't go by that I don't thank Heavenly Father for these 3 blessings and the women who helped me become a mother. They went through great loss and sadness. They put their child first before their wants and needs and I will forever be grateful and have the up most respect for that courageous decision they made.

This is a picture of the day I became a mom. Hayden was just born, I was in the room when he was born and after he was all checked out I got to hold him first. So here is my first time holding him.

This is when Hayden's about 3-4 hours old. I was already in love!

Paxton's 18 Months

I can't believe Paxton is 18 months old. He is at such a fun age right now. I can see him slowly transition from a baby to a toddler now. Its so exciting to see him learn new things and say new words. We just LOVE this boy so much!

Let's Play Music

Since school started Hayden also started a music class outside of school called Let's Play Music. It's a program that people teach out of their homes and a women in my ward (who also lives right behind me) teaches it. I have heard great things about the program from so many other people and have wanted to sign Hayden up a year ago. When my sister Sara said she was signing up her daughter I finally decided to take the time and sign Hayden up. He goes once a week to her home and learns all kinds of stuff about music and notes but its all in a fun way that they don't even know how much they are really learning. By his 3rd year he will be able to write his own piano music. So its a pretty neat thing to have your kids be in and he loves going to it. The classes run like school does so he just had his last class a few weeks ago and they had a recital last night. Hayden's teacher got together with 3 other teachers and had a recital with the 1st years and 2nd years. The recital basically explained how and why they learn what they do and then they would sing a song to show it. I really love this program and glad Hayden enjoys it too. He also loves having his cousin and other friends from our ward in his class.

At the end the kids got a certificate saying they completed their 1st year and a bag with some goodies in it.
