Morris Family Reunion 60 year anniversary

Every year we go to the Whiteriver to camp for our Morris family reunion. This year marks 60 years of when the Morris family (My grandpa, his parents and his 12 other siblings) moved from South Carolina to Queen Creek, AZ. 60 years ago a family of 15 moved to AZ and now there is over 500 of us!

The nights were so cold a few nights we had Paxton sleep with us so he stayed warm

One day we went fishing at Cooley Lake. Adam , Ryan and the kids caught about 4-5 fish

Saturday we always play games together. We had to get into teams and make team flags, it was so fun.

Everyday Paxton is talking more and more. He is starting to talk really good and recently he is saying more names in our house besides mom and dad. He first started to say Libby our dogs name but now he is saying Hayden and Emmie. It's so cute!

Hayden's Kindergarten highlights

Yes, school is out but Hayden's Kindergarten teacher just provided all us parents with all the pictures she took through out the school year. Have I mentioned how awesome she is???? She is a great photographer and she loves to take a lot of pictures. She also made an awesome slide show that she will be mailing out to us sometime this summer and I can't wait. Here is some highlights of Hayden's year in Kindergarten.

Kids pictures

I recently got the kids pictures taken by a photographer I have used before (Sandi Miller.) I mainly wanted a group shot of them but Paxton had some real cute ones so I ordered a few of him too so I can send them to his birthmom.

Hayden's going to be ABC News!

UPDATE 6/13: Because of the NBA finals it didn't air last week but it will be on the 6:00 news this Thursday June 16th. It's on ABC 15.




While in California we took Hayden to a skate park. I recorded him skating there and posted it on Facebook. My aunt saw it and thought he did so good that she wrote ABC 15 and said Hayden should be on one of their segments they run called "Small Stars." When she told me I didn't even know what "Small Stars" was. A week later they wrote her saying they wanted to have Hayden on their show, they said they wanted to video him skating and interview him. So my aunt sent me the email and the guy from ABC news and I wrote each other back and fourth until we came up with a time and place. Last Saturday we met at the Queen Creek skate park. It went really good...Hayden skated around while he recorded him and then once he had enough recorded he interviewed Hayden. He asked him about skating, and what he liked about it, when he started skating and stuff like that. I was scared Hayden would get nervous and not want to do it when it came down to it but he did good.

It is suppose to air on Thursday June 9th, the 6:00pm news during the sports. It's called "Small Stars." Before its airs I will be reminding everyone :)
