Paxton's birthday in California

Our last full day in California was Paxton's actual birthday. Our week in California we pretty much celebrated it every place we went but on his actual birthday we had no big plans so we decided to go to one of our favorite beaches, Balboa beach. We knew it was too cold for playing in the water but there is a lot to do there so we knew the kids would still love to go. It has our favorite restaurant on the pier, Ruby's, where we also like to hang out and watch people fish. Because of the fisherman other sea creatures show up to try to take their bait. This time we saw dolphins, it was so neat.

On the sand they have a playground. The kids played forever and they didn't want to stop.

At the end of our beach trip we wanted to sit closer to water and watch the waves and surfers. The kids loved playing in the sand. Hayden got his suit on to get a little wet and make sand castles. It was a nice, fun & beautiful day on the beach as a family!
