What Do You Do In The Summer Time?

I have a love hate relationship with Summer. I hate the weather with a passion and when the kids are stuck in doors all day and drive me crazy.  But I love all the trips we take to the cabin and camping, spending time as a family, no annoying schedules to worry about and no homework. This summers been different for us because we moved into a new house. The move was horrible in this heat but moving also gave the kids something to do and time to help me unpack their rooms.

Here is some pictures of what we have been filling our time when we aren't on a trip.

New house = No landscaping
Monsoon season = Muddy yards

We also don't have a pool anymore and we really miss having one. We hope to have one by next summer.  In the meantime we go to a pool near by so the kids can have fun and burn some of that energy.

I LOVE Monsoon season. I was attempting to take a picture of all the lightning about our house but I just got shots of it lighting up the sky.

Hayden on the news for Skateboarding

Hayden was on the news back in February and those who didn't see it I kept thinking they would post it on their website and I would show everyone. But they still haven't so today I just recorded it using my iphone. Not great quality but if you haven't see it, here it it.

4th of July at the cabin

Emmie went to the cabin with my parents a few days before we drove up. During the drive up I noticed the boys crashed and I had to snap a few pictures because they looked so funny.

4th of July morning we headed to Show Low to watch the parade

My mom's cousins Julie and Robbie in the parade

That night we headed to Show Low for fireworks

One of the days at the cabin my dad let the boys drive the Polaris. Paxton was a crazy driver!

A few nights later we went to Taylor to watch their firework show.  We like going there because we stay away from the crowd and go to this park where they let the fireworks off. Its also nice to sit at the park so the kids can play while we wait for it to get dark enough for fireworks.
