Legoland

While in California we spent a day at Legoland. Hayden was the most excited to go, he loves Legos. He wasn't sure what to expect, he thought he would get to play with Legos all day. I had to keep telling him it was a theme park with rides. The kids really liked Legoland. As for me I thought it was ok, there isn't any adult rides (I am used to Disneyland) so Aaron and I spent the day riding kid rides but we loved seeing our kids having a blast so it was worth it.

Hayden at Carlsbad's Skate Park

Hayden brought his skate board to California with him in case there was some fun places to ride. There wasn't many places he could ride around our hotel and someone told us about this skate park in town. So one day we went to it to let him ride for a bit. It was a pretty simple park but he still had lots of fun.

Legoland Sea Life Aquarium

We took the kids to the Legoland Sea Life Aquarium. I was so mad when I realized almost there that I forgot my memory card for my camera. I did bring my flip camera so I recorded things throughout. My favorite is when they fed an octopus a live crab. I took all the clips I recorded, put them together and added some music and saved it on Youtube.com.

The Mormon Battalion

We wanted to head to Old Town San Diego and my friend Apryl (who lives in Carlsbad) suggested we take the train. She said it would be fun for the kids and it was also cheaper then gas. So we went to the train station waiting for the train and the kids were so excited. The train ride was nice too. It was real smooth and quite and the kids loved looking at all the scenery, especially the ocean.

Once we got to the Mormon Battalion we waited for our friends, the Horton's, to meet us there. They live in Carlsbad and after the Mormon Battalion we were headed to one of my favorite restaurant there in old town called Rockin' Baja.

It was our first time going to the Mormon Battalion since they remodeled it, it has really changed! They did so much to it and it was pretty fun. The kids loved it! My friend's husband said its like a Mormon Disneyland.....HA HA!

Emmie LOVED washing these clothes, I think Emmie would love one of these wash boards for Christmas! :)


At the end they took our picture for free. They give you one printed and Email it to you too. We had to do a group shot, it was hard to squeeze us all in.
