Lots of Christmas fun

December is so busy but so fun! I have been trying to keep up with all the main things that happened on my blog but here is some other fun things we did as a family. Even though there is so much going on in December I wouldn't want it any other way. I love filling each day we can with family fun and traditions.

Decorating our Christmas tree

putting the star on the tree

One night before our ward nativity activity we had a potluck and made Gingerbread houses with our neighbors.

Our house all lite up
Our whole street was decorated so nice this year

This year our HOA had a Neighborhood party. It was pretty fun. They had booths, free activities for the kids, Santa, a bouncer, boutiques, train ride and more. There was a lot of people who came for it being the 1st year.

Look at that jump! I snap a shot of her jumping high just by chance. I was shocked when I saw the picture. She isn't holding on to the side she bounced that high.

Our stroll around the temple grounds looking at lights

Hayden's tumbling recital

A women in my ward teaches dance and tumbling out of her home. This year we put Hayden into tumbling to see if he likes it. Around the house he likes to do cartwheels, attempt hand stands and wants to be able to do flips. So we thought since her class is so close and reasonable we would have him try it out for fun. He seems to have a good time. At the end of the year they have a Christmas recital. Him and his group were reindeers and did their routine to sleighbells. It was cute but at the same time I was cracking up almost the whole time because they were all so new to this.

Hayden's birthday bash!

December 9th Hayden turned 5! We had his birthday party on December 5th. We had it at my parents backyard since we got a bouncy and we needed the bigger grass space. His party turned out great and it was really fun. Hayden loved him party. It was a Superhero theme, some the kids dressed up, he had lots of his friends and cousins come and they just had a blast in that Spiderman bouncer. He loved his Spiderman and Batman cupcake cakes and to top it off he got the Batcave he wanted from us.

Hayden and Keatyn (my friend Cortney's daughter) have the same birthday and usually can't go to each other's birthday parties. So this year we met at Bahama Bucks on their actual birthday once Keatyn got out of school and ate some yummy snow and they exchanged gifts.

Santa came to our house!

Every year Aaron dresses up as Santa one night for our neighborhood and ward kids to come to our house to see Santa. This way they can come meet Santa without the mall lines and I just tell the families to bring their own camera for pictures. Our kids love it even though they know its their dad. And weeks before we set the date I had several families asking when we were doing Santa. So its a fun tradition for us and others. This year we had about 50 kids come. Here is pictures of our kids with Santa (Aaron).
