Certified to adopt!

It's official! We got the paper work today from the court and our adoption agency saying we are certified to adopt. Glad that part is over! Now we just wait for the chance to get a baby. Now the hard part starts. Waiting.......

Highlights from the cabin

We went to the cabin for the weekend. It was nice, relaxing and cold. Hayden shot his 1st real gun so I took lots of pictures of that. He did really well, I thought it would scare him but he loved it. The last gun he shot he got a little scared of it and stopped. Copy and paste the youtube links below to see us shooting.

Photoshop class homework

We went to my parents cabin this weekend. I will post pictures later! But while I was there I worked on my homework. I have been taking a Photoshop class from a lady in my ward. Its been cool learning new stuff. Its not just about making your pictures look better but creating things like you would if you were scrapbooking or card making. So after my Thursday class we went to the cabin. I took my laptop and when it was too cold to be outside I sat there off and on this weekend working on Photoshop and this is what I created. These 3 things could be used for fronts of card or the Christmas one could be used for a tag for a gift or something. I am so new to this so everything I create is great practice. I know one day I will look back at these and think these are so cheesy compared to what I will be able to create someday. But our homework this week was to make something like this, not just do something to our photos we have taken. On a few of these I wanted to change there looks a little but got stuck. Good thing I have 2 more classes to learn even more.

Excited about the 2 new AZ Temples!

I was at my parents cabin this weekend when I heard the news. I was so exited to hear about the 2 new Temples in AZ. I was shocked it was Gilbert and not Queen Creek since this is where so many members are moving to but I am still so happy for the Gilbert one and even happy for the Thatcher/Safford one. I went to college in Thatcher and love it there so I am so happy for those members to have the Temple so close. I came home from the cabin to emails and phone calls from old friends from Thatcher telling me the news again but I was glad to see other so excited too. I don't know where the Gilbert one will be but I would imagine it would be close to us in Queen Creek. How cool! Another great reason I love living where I do.

Pictures, Pictures, and more Pictures

I love taking picture of Hayden...as you can see by my page. Since the weather is so nice I am taking of advantage of it by taking Hayden to different places to take pictures. He has fun getting to play and I have fun taking pictures. I have a couple other places I would like to take him before the weather gets too hot. We are going to the cabin this weekend, so I am sure I will take some pictures of him there too. I know, I am obsessed. Ha Ha! I heard its pretty windy at the cabin, I hope its not because we love to be outside a lot up there. Here is some pictures I took on some train tracks.

Playing with some pictures in Photoshop...I have lots to learn

Block Party!

We had a block party Saturday night. Before Christmas we had one and we had lots of fun but it was so cold, so they wanted to do a Spring one before it got hot. We had a nice evening outside with the neighbors. The kids had a blast playing (like always) and the adults had fun getting to know each other more and the BBQ was good too. I love our neighborhood! :)

My Birthday

Well I had my 32nd birthday and Aaron had the busiest tax season ever so I saw him about 9pm that night. During the day I woke up to many text messages, emails and missed calls of people wishing me a Happy Birthday. During the day I chatted off and on with people. I walked out side and saw the Relief Society decorated my door. Everyone was so sweet to remember me that day , I think more people do remember because they know my husband is too busy for me...HAHA!

That day my grandpa finally came home from the Hospital. It was a stay we weren't sure he would come home from ever again. My sister Sara helped him home so once Hayden was done with preschool and nap we headed over to my grandparents to help out. After they were settled for the evening my sister Sara and I went to the Gilbert Mall with the kids. And that's when I saw these sunglasses I just loved. I called Aaron when he was finishing up to tell him I really liked them. He said I couldn't get them but he might get them for me.

So It was late and Aaron was almost done so he met Sara and I at Olive Garden for dinner. We had a nice dinner even though the kids were so ready for bed. When we got home I got my new sunglasses. So Aaron was happy to buy them for me because he needed a gift for me anyway.

Usually the day after my birthday we have a family get together, we usually pick a restaurant and just tell all those who want to come. So last night we went to BJ's. It was so good, but of course when you have a big party things take so long and get messed up but overall it was nice. I told Aaron for my Birthday I want a date with him. So we are hoping Friday we will get the chance to do that. So it seems this year my birthday is being celebrated in pieces and different days. I am looking forward to my birthday date this Friday with Aaron. We haven't had lots of time together in awhile. Tax season is over but everyday he has still has to go into the office for some work. So he is still working but its not that crazy.

Handsome Hayden

When I take pictures I can never decide which ones I like best so I just make slide shows. :)
My mom bought Hayden a suit jacket so we had him wear it today to church. He looked so handsome. So here is some pictures I took of him.

Enjoying the great weather while we can

I wanted to get out of the house and enjoy the nice weather so I asked my sister Sara if she wanted to meet me at the park in Queen Creek. So that evening we met down there, played with the kids and brought our dinner. My sister's daughter Karlee and Hayden are 10 days apart and so much a like. You would swear they are siblings, they are the best of friends but fight a lot. But while they were so busy at the park they got along real well. Jace sat in the baby swings and he really liked them even though he didn't swing much. We had lots of fun and they even brought their scooters and rode around for a little bit. The weather was nice but then it started to get cold which is weird this time of year. But I love this weather, I know it will be gone soon so I am trying to enjoy it all I can before the hot summer comes.

Tax Season is almost over!

I am so excited for tax season to be over. I miss having Aaron around so much. Right now he comes home just to sleep, we get to talk about maybe 20 minutes in bed before he crashes. And Hayden misses his daddy so much too. He is working so hard right now before the April 15th deadline and I just keep praying for him to have the strength. Aaron is such a hard worker and that's one of the many reasons why I love him. We have a lot of plans coming up and I have a honey-do list a mile long. Aaron will want to rest (sleep) a lot after tax season, he usually sleeps a lot a few days after. And that's ok and then we will get rolling on some projects.....like we are landscaping our backyard very soon (cement guy starts Monday), we need to get our camping trailer serviced before our camping trips this summer, we need to work on our adoption stuff, we are working on having this garage sale, we both need are cars serviced, we want to get away a few days and possibly just go to the cabin, we talked about going to Disneyland, we need to finish putting together the organizers we got for our master closet....and I know there is more but this is what's on my mind now. I am just so excited to get Aaron back and 2nd I am so excited to get my backyard done so there won't be so much dirt everywhere. My dogs won't be so dirty all the time and our yards gonna look so nice. I am excited to landscape around the pool and to make it look even nicer.

Bring on the bad guys

Everyday Hayden talks about Superheros, bad guys and muscles. He is always playing with his Spiderman toys and other Superheros. When he plays with them he is talking to them about bad guys. We went to Target last night and I saw this shirt and I had to get it for him. I am really not into character clothes for kids but I showed him the shirt and told him what it said on it and he freaked out. The shirt read "Bring on the bad guys." He said " I love it, I am so excited to have this shirt." The lady working there hanging up clothes was laughing at him. So he couldn't wait to wear it today and I had to take some picture of Hayden with his superheros.

Panda's don't drink from cups

Hayden is so observant, he notices everything and says many cute and funny things. The other day we were eating at Panda Express and he started to laugh. Then he pointed to the wall over the drinks and said "Mom, panda's don't drink from cups." I told him he is right and of course it put a smile on my face. Nothing gets past this kid! :)

All fun, until Hayden gets hurt!

Typical Hayden, always getting hurt. He is always bumping his head but this time he scrapped his knee. He thought it was the end of the world, by the scream I heard I thought it was too. He fell in some tiny rocks and scrapped it pretty bad. After some cleaning, lots of screaming in my ear, and 2 bandaids (that he didn't want on) he is ok. :) I am just glad its not another bump on his head.
